    Refundable Deposits:

    There is a R500 refundable, CASH deposit payable on arrival for the cottage keys, gate remote and small breakages.

    Child Policy:

    Children are welcome at Bosky Dell, but we do request that they be considerate to other guests on our property. A baby cot can be added to any of the rooms on request.

    Children’s Rates

    ·     0 – 2 yrs: Pay Half Price

    ·     2 - 18 yrs: Pay Full price


    One Night Bookings:

    There is an extra charge of R100 per person for one night bookings


    Extra Guests:

    Extra guests are charged the per person sharing rate. Please note that not all of our cottages can accommodate extra guests.


    Reservations, Payment and Cancellation Conditions:

    ·     Deposits and cancellation fees are calculated on the full value of stay.

    ·     A 50% deposit will be required to secure a booking.

    ·     Once the deposit has been received, a written confirmation with an invoice number will be forwarded to the client.

    ·     The balance of the booking value (50%) is to be paid on arrival.

    ·     Bosky Dell will retain the full deposit payment in the case of cancellations made within 60 days of arrival.

    ·     “No Shows” will be charged for in full.

    ·     A full refund of deposit (minus 10% handling fee) will apply to bookings cancelled more than 60 days prior to arrival.

    ·     After check-in, no refunds will be offered for shortened stays.

    ·     We accept all major Credit Cards, Debit Cards, EFTs and cash as payment options.

    ·     All rates include VAT @ 15%.


    ·     Check-in time is from 2pm on the arrival date, and check-out before 10am on the day of departure

    ·     Please advise us on early or late arrivals and departures – we will try our best to accommodate you

    ·     Airport Transfers and Day Tours can be arranged on request

    ·     All of our cottages are self-catering, so please do remember to stop for provisions along the way.

    Please do consult with management before making any plans to utilize our facilities. 

    All day/evening visitors need to present themselves at our offices on arrival. 

    ·     Hire of the lawn for ceremony and picnic style event with own umbrellas R4,500.00.

    ·     Hire of the lawn with your own marquee R8,00.00


Frequently asked questions:


What appliances are in the cottages?

A basic 3 or 4 plate stove and oven, an under counter or larger fridge, a microwave, toaster, kettle, and a small television. Coffee plungers are available on request.


Are linen and bath towels supplied?

Yes, good quality linen and towels are supplied and for longer stays these are changed every 4th day. Should you require more frequent linen and towel changes please do discuss with management as a drought tariff will be imposed. WE DO NOT PROVIDE BEACH TOWELS.


Are the cottages serviced?

Yes, the cottages are serviced daily, in that bins are emptied, beds are made and bathrooms cleaned.

We do not wash kitchen dishes. Let us know in advance if this is required, we will do our best to arrange, and a fee of R100 per cottage per day is required.


Where can we stock up with provisions?

There is a local store within a 10-minute walk or a few minutes’ drive. There are also stores in Simon’s Town, Glencairn, Fish Hoek, and Long Beach Mall


Is there a laundry?

A laundry service is offered six days a week.

Washing is collected at 08h00 from the office and returned 11h00 on the following day except on Sunday and public holidays.

Cost: R80 per load, washed, dried, folded.


Are there restaurants close by?

A delightful restaurant on our doorstep serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices.

The restaurant at the local Yacht Club is open to the public and many excellent restaurants, just a few minutes’ drive away can be found in Simon’s Town and the new Bay Harbour Mall.


Do you have Wi-Fi/Internet/Mobile Coverage?

  • Yes, we do have internet access -  ADSL -  which is suitable for email only, and can be slow when there are many users on the network.
  • At this stage Fibre is not yet available in our area. We are anxiously waiting for this!
  • Usually we have a fairly decent connection to most networks, but this is not guaranteed.


Do you have TV’s and DSTV?

Yes, we do. Please note: Our TV’s are SMALL, and we have the basic Easy-view DSTV package.


What is a "Braai"?

The word braai (pronounced “bry”, rhyming with the word “cry”; plural braais) is Afrikaans for “barbecue” and is a social custom in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. It originated with the Afrikaner people, but has since been adopted by South Africans of many ethnic backgrounds. 

There is a proper built in brick braai place in the garden of each cottage. Braai grids are supplied, but please bring your own charcoal and firelighters.



There is parking space for 1 car per cottage with the exception of the Main House which can accommodate 2 to 3 cars.
